Mrs. Moeller previously taught high school science in Minnesota and is currently beginning her 15th year teaching physical science at Timberview Middle School in Academy School District 20, Colorado Springs, CO. She holds an undergraduate degree in Physical Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato (1997) (GO MAVS!) and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Aerospace Education from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (2003). She is currently all but dissertation (ABD) in her pursuit of a doctoral degree in education. In addition to the fun PALS hub workshops, Mrs. Moeller enjoys teaching for the PIPES teacher's academy through UCCS. She is able to take advantage of all these terrific science opportunities because of the wonderful support from her husband, Jeremy, daughter, Grace (9) and son, Aidan (5).

Sherry Freehill received a B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology and Education and an M.A. degree in Biology, Curriculum and Instruction from Austin Peavy State University, in Clarksville, Tennessee.  She taught Biology, Human Physiology and Zoology at high schools in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia, before moving to Colorado Springs in 1976.  Sherry taught Chemistry I and II and Biology at Harrison High School for 17 years.  During that time she was also Director of the Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program,  Staff Associate for the Colorado Alliance for Science, and Project Director of the Corporate Closet for the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. From 1993-1995 Sherry was the K-12 Science Facilitator for Project CONNECT, Pikes Peak Collaborative of the Colorado Statewide Systemic Initiative.  From 1995-1997 Sherry was K-12 Science Supervisor for Colorado Springs District 11.  Sherry taught at the International School of Grenada for the school year 1997-98.  Sherry received The Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching, the Harrison District High School Teacher Award and the American Chemical Society Colorado Section High School Teacher Award.  Sherry is now retired, but she enjoys staying involved with K-12 science education in the Pikes Peak region.
