The State of Wolves in Colorado

Meet at CMJH (Cheyenne Mountain Junior High) at 8:00 am. We will travel in the afternoon by bus to the Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide, Colorado. Return to CMJH by 4:00 pm.
Engage in a day investigating the current State of Wolves in Colorado. Guest speakers include Delia Malone with the Sierra Club, Cheney Gardner with the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project Organizer, and the Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide, Colorado. The day will be split with the morning spent in the classroom at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High and an afternoon trip to the Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide, Colorado. Time in the classroom will include presentations and discussions on conservation biology, social-political concerns related to wolves and endangered species in general, and a preview of a new secondary conservation biology curriculum. In the afternoon, participants will travel via school bus for a guided tour to the Wolf and Wildlife Center.
